Have you always desired a backyard putting green for you and your family. This hockey Hall of Famer of the Boston Bruins decided it was time for a professional built green, and it was needed at his new house. He wanted a green realistic to the country club he belongs to, with a roll that is the same as his everyday course. Ideal Turf Solutions consulted and we were happy to be rewarded with the project.
We designed a 30 x 35 green surface, with a 1st cut and a second cut of fringe, to give the green a realistic look and playability. We added a sand bunker with a specific sand to the customers specifications, and 6 holes for a mixture of long, medium, and shorts putts.
The customer was thrilled to see the finish project as his friends commented that it looked as great as any course they had played or seen.
Upon returning a week later to stimp (measure ball speed), I found the green full of golf balls with kids and adult putters, which made me extremely happy to see that it was immediately being used by kids and adults.
